THE IMPACT OF BAD WORK CONTRACT

Lack of employee welfare. Lack of welfare in which wages or benefits received by outsourced workers are usually lower than regular workers. In addition, many companies do not include outsourced workers in the social security program of labor and insurance. This creates a high gap between the well-being of permanent employees and outsourced employees.

No benefits if dismissed. In the labor law law in Indonesia, there is no provision requiring the company to compensate the outsourced worker when the employment expires or is laid off before the contract expires unless otherwise stated in the agreement document. In contrast to permanent employees who are entitled to compensation such as severance pay if they are dismissed from work.

Number of earnings deductions by outsourcing companies. Given its work as a labor supplier to a partner company, outsourcing companies are also seeking profit. Unfortunately the profits are not requested to the company but by cutting the earnings of workers. As a result, the income received by outsourced workers becomes lower than the gross salary.

Outsourced workers tend to be difficult for a career. Limited contracting periods make them more likely to move around so often that the career ladder has to start again from scratch. This, of course, results in outsourced employee opportunities to improve status and the career becomes increasingly difficult.
